Recommendation for evaluation in the Rockford IL area?

I'm planning to cross-post this in Special Needs as well.Can anyone give me a good recommendation for an evaluation for possible autism/aspergers? My nephew lives in that area, and my sister has had a lot of trouble finding anyone to provide them with an accurate and helpful diagnosis. They have been working through the school, and have run into several instances of things being delayed, and there is also some question as to the accuracy of the current diagnosis. My sister is also not a persistent advocate, and I feel things are being swept under the rug-to the detriment of my nephew.

My sister is not in anyway AP, so that is not a consideration, but they do not have good insurance, so the ability to pay out of pocket is important.

This not the Rockford area, I apologize. My son who has autism was diagnosed my Dr. Nishant Shah out of Luthern General Hospital in Park Ridge (near Chicago). He's a pediatric neurologist that specializes in ASD. I hope she's able to find someone closer, but I know good doctors with that specialization are few and far between.

I'm so sorry, the name of the person at Rockford Clinic escapes me--very much escapes me, but I will find out more information and get back to you. Rockford is a seriously lacking community, but there are halfway decent medical services, and mental health if you can afford them.

Dan Griffith at Rockford health systems is one resource that has been highly recommended. I had to ask my friend--she has a child with Autism and is a great advocate---he is at the top of this list, there are other resources
