OMG, Boots and Lily, your conversation has certainly convinced me that I never want to get a cervical check. Feeling for the head through the cervix, did I interpret that right??? AHHH. Seems clear that I am mentally prepared for a natural childbirth, huh?
If my doc mentions it tomorrow I will try to be very nonchalant and ask if we can wait until or if I have any clear indications that things are moving along. Just what I need to be anticipating when I want to try to keep my anxiety/bp down at the next appointment. I'm thinking I need to wake up early tomorrow and do some of the hypnobabies meditation tracks along with some yoga.
Lily, so happy to hear that baby is still head down!! Also it is great that you can get the ms out so soon. I had a long talk this am with my husband about how I'm going to get my huge project done and am feeling better about it.
I have no idea because I have never experienced one, but your description of the contraction sounds like it could be the real thing. From what I've read, the major distinction is that the back participates in "real" contractions, whereas bh are more in the front and not painful. But I barely notice the bh as it is.
Boots, yeah, I signed up, saying I had a newborn (well, he's practically here, right?). We'll see if anyone wants to send anything our way. It could be fun!
