Checking your cervix. Feeling mucus plug?

Just wondering if anyone has ever done it before and felt the plug and if it means anything (like Im getting ready to lose it,etc) This is my the first pregnancy I have ever checked myself (yes I know what I am doing, no nails. SUPER clean hands, etc) and Im very fascinated but it all. I check myself every few days or so just to see if Im changing and I have. A few weeks ago I could feel my cervix but not "go inside" of it my finger would stop at the end. Now I can go inside with one finger and its roomy but not enough room for two fingers (i wasnt probing around in there) and when I checked a few days ago I just felt the opening now there is what Im guessing my mucus plug at the end of it (still kinda long) but its slippery and gooey there now where use it it wasnt slippery.

Sounds like you have some slight dilation allowing you to reach it. You might start losing plug with cervical change like that. Of course it can grow back too so long as you don't have the baby right after.
