Orgasmic birth with the aid of the Magic Wand?

Hello all! This may be kind of a crazy question but I was curious if anyone has had any experience with using the Hitachi Magic Wand or any other form of vibrator for clitoral or nipple stimulation during labor in order to ease the pain of contractions and potentially  aid in achieving an orgasm during childbirth. I'm planning a homebirth in Novemeber and I have been reading Ina May's guide to childbirth to help prepare. I'm intrigued by her encounters with women who have claimed to have had an orgasmic birth and some of the birth stories I've read actually seem to make a lot of sense in the way they describe the way they were able to just flow through their contractions and create a more pleasurable experience. I've also read about women and have seen videos of birth where the laboring mother does in fact utilize clitoral stimulation. Has anyone here experienced anything like this themselves, or does anyone know if using a vibrator would be safe during labor?

i havent done it, but i did read the book "orgasmic birth" several times and they have stories of women using vibrators to help during labor. you should read that book.

Vibes in labor are safe, assuming they are clean and waterproof if you're using the tub. 

I'm actually planning on doing this. I sometimes use a vibrator for menstrual cramps (I have horrible, horrible cramps), and it really does relieve the pain! It really sounds like such an asset in labor.

A birth attendant I know once attended a birth where the woman masturbated through the whole thing!!

I definitely found some relief with manual stimulation. I don't know how I'd feel about using a magic wand, but I'm not big on vibration near my body anyway.

I did manual during some intense braxton hicks and it caused me to have horrible back spasms. I think it wud have been different during labor.
