Just came across this and had to share it here.. it's so short, only ~25 seconds, but still, wow. (Chiropractic adjustments for new babies are making more and more sense to me all the time..)

First MRI birth video reveals what childbirth looks like from the inside

Too short! I wanted to see the rest of the birth! cool to see how the pushes really move the baby into position though.

I agree this was cool, but the comments in the article just left me with a long sigh.  Anyone think if this were actually utilized technology if it would improve mortality outcomes?

It shows the fetus' location in regards to the pelvis, and can help doctors learn more about how to deliver and manage labor. For example, videos like this may be able to show doctors when a fetus will need to be delivered by cesarean delivery well before it may be too late. Researchers also hope that this method can be used to make real-time videos that can instruct others through virtual reality about safe birthing methods.

Yeah.. The 'long before' part is a little disturbing- there may be some instances where that kind of call would make sense, but it seems like it could also be used as a justification to induce/section rather than letting positioning issues have a chance of working out, etc.

But none of that is at all surprising, so I'm just focusing on the awesomeness of the video itself. Lalalalalaaa...

Awesome video! I'm not even going to read the comments. At this point I'm happily residing in my natural birth bubble and have no intention of coming out until after the baby arrives.

I think this is a fine plan!

I saw the video on the theunnecesarean.com, though, so pretty much all of the comments were skewed with my particular bias, so it was all good thumb.gif
