My daughter hates milk.

My daughter turned 1 yr. about 2 weeks ago. Today was going to be the big day where I switched her from formula to milk. I have been mixing a bit of milk in her formula for the past few days but she doesn't like it at all. So of course she hasn't drank any milk at all today and I don't know what to do. Today she has eaten fruit, vegetables, beans, mac & cheese, and granola. I'm just worried she will not get enough dairy. What should I do? How long does the "I hate milk" stage usually last?

Well, in the case of my daughter - forever. She's 6.  She hates plain milk.  Won't drink it.  She will drink chocolate milk, LOL  

As for getting enough dairy if she likes cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese or any other product that should be sufficient.  My daughter loves pretty much all other dairy products, so we just make sure she has those.

My 4 year old has never liked milk either. She'll eat cheese, kefir, etc, but hates milk. She won't even drink chocolate milk. People don't need to drink milk or eat milk products per se, and as long as she's getting enough calcium and protein from other sources, she'll be fine.
