resurrecting this thread b/c i just found it and was going to start one asking similar things!!! Any traditional foods mama's? Maybe i should start a thread for that, as my raw milk and raw egg yolks might not be PC! i craved protein for the first trimester, had no morning sickness, and now just have no appetite!!! i don't know if it's the heat, or just the constantly cooking for 4 kids and not being interested in eating much more!
that said, today's food was:
juice of 1 cucumber, 6 leave kale, 1 cup cherry tomatoes
pork sausage w/ cheese (raw milk, but aged and melted) and tomatoes
raw cream yogurt ice cream w/ honey, mangoes and strawberries
squash crust pizza w/ roasted garlic and homemade sauce, a couple slices raw cheese as pizza was light on cheese
I'm gluten-free (have been since 2001), i tend to gain about 40lbs each pregnancy, no edema, and bounce back to my usual 130lbs about 5 months postpartum. i don't get morning sickness and gain between 10-13lbs in the first trimester, and just keep going. since i don't eat processed foods, or many grains, my blood sugar is very stable at 75, and that doesn't help since i don't always get HUNGRY.
But since I make all my foods from scratch, I get tired of cooking. And tired of the same foods. And I love my veggie CSA, but I'm so so so tired of veggies!
i wish there was an easy way to see if the AMOUNTS i'm eating are enough and that's why i'm not hungry. but based on the WAPF diet, i'm usually coming up short (i do supplement w/ fermented cod-liver oil a couple times a week, and Omega raw prenatals most days a week), and have no desire for fish or seafood at all.
