Have you used a Doula in Ontario? If so, how much did it cost?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping some of you Ontario mamas are willing to share experience with using a Doula with me.  I'd love to look into it for #2 whenever that may be, but I'm wondering how expensive it is! 

(I was looking at Babeeze in Arms).  Do they have payment programs to work out if you can't pay the amount all upfront?

i think it would depend on where in ontario but i don't think up to $1000 would be unexpected. i can't comment on payment plans though, i would just go ahead and contact them. good luck!

I am paying 350 and I paid a 30 percent deposit and the rest due at the birth:)

It depends on where in Ontario you are. I am a Doula in Barrie and my fee is $850. I accept payment plans and do my best to work with everyones financial situations. HTH :)

Thanks Steph!  I'm from London, ON (we're practically neighbors!!)  I guess I'll just have to make a call to the Doula service to get an idea of price!

Are there stand-alone Doula's that would work alone?  I'm not sure how this works.  We have a service called Babeeze in Arms here in London that provides Doula care, and I thought I would go through them, but now I'm wondering if there would be other Doula's not involved with Babeeze in Arms.
