DS now 8 and is on the spectrum and has an autoimmune disorder (pandas), no way are we vaccinating further.
I find myself worrying a lot about tetnus though. We live on farm land, which I think increases the chances as the tetanus toxoid is concentrated higher in areas where animals have lived.
Tonight DS punctured himself on a seam ripper that had been outside. (not in the dirt, just carried around and used outside a bit)
I couldn't tell if it was an all out puncture or it scraped him. He says it felt like a blood draw.
I squeezed it under the faucet and a drop of blood came out. I scrubbed with soap and water, then neosporin and a bandaid. But still, I am worried.
How do those of you that don't vaccinate keep from worrying about tetanus?
