I'm looking for recommendations for books on parenting gifted children, mainly about dealing with the motivation issue. I have a six year old daughter who I've known is pretty intelligent and talented for a long time (she's my first, so I didn't have anyone to compare her to), but now she's been officially labeled by the system. I know very little about gifted children, though I have read some basic educational literature. I resisted reading more so as not to pressure herself and me, but now that she is going to be starting first grade, I feel that as her advocate, I need to speak the speak. Any help would be much appreciated!
