When is your Gender/Anatomy Scan? - Page 3

Our first baby is going to be a little boy!  It was so funny, because in the anatomy scan this morning, the doctor very seriously told us that she was going to complete the measurements first and then tell us the sex at the end.  So as soon as she started it up, there were the legs spread and I turned to dh and said, "It's a boy!"  She said, "Hey, I am supposed to be the one to tell you that after this is finished!"  We are so excited.  joy.gif

Kaliki, have I already talked to you about the bay area? I can't remember...pregnancy brain I guess.

Did I tell you I lived in Pleasanton/Walnut Creek for the first 30 years of my life? As I am writing this I have some vague memory of you relocating there?

That's right.... I grew up in Texas/New Mexico.  I packed my bags in my car and moved to California when I turned 18.  I live pretty near there... did you have a baby over here?

My first was born in CA but up in Folsom (Sacramento area).

We had our u/s scan yesterday! This is me being the "Debby Downer", but it was an awful experiance. Baby #4 and I've never had a cold and clinical experiance like the one I had yesterday. And the u/s tech was using my leg as an arm rest! She wouldn't let me look at the screen until after she got all of the measurements and information that she needed, and then she quickly showed me the face, an arm, and a foot. Did I mention that my DH wasn't able to come with me? And I think the baby has an abnormally large head and it looks like he/she has a cleft lip. It was just a totally different experiance then what I've had in the past and I wonder if the language barrier effected that at all. On the bright side, I was able to share pictures with my DH and we have our "sugar and spice or snails and tails" envelope that contains the sex of our baby. My older two are so anxious to open it. They think we're are torturing them by not letting them open the envelope. They both love babies and are eagerly awaiting the birth of their new sibling, and I suspect they just want to go shopping for him/her!

My middle daughter was absolutely convinced that we were having twins and was quite crestfallen to hear that there was only one (in fact she has been adamant that she doesn't think the ultrasound was right, lol) so I will be excited to hear what happens with you mama!

congrats on your little girl, the photo shoot is adorable!!

on a semi-related note, can i say that i love that the balloons were tied down (& done under a roof).  i've seen several of these type of reveals where the balloons go floating away into the atmosphere and i can't help but cringe...
