Overnights for newborn in state of Maryland?

Hi single parents!

Does anyone know if Maryland allows overnight visits for a newborn? My baby's father is requesting overnight visits with our baby and she's only 2 weeks old. I said no. He said we would work it out. Does anyone know if a judge would allow such a thing? I just don't see this being healthy for a newborn. Thanks!

To be honest, that really is a question for an attorney.  If the two of you weren't married, you are the only proven parent.  And I would not allow any overnights, but short frequent visits until paternity is established. 

Are you breastfeeding?  If so, that may actually help prevent overnights until the baby is older.
