We plan to go back to Canada to ski one day so maybe we'll meet up or take you up on the house swap!
Oh, the Sylvia! Do you know the children's book about the cat? It's called "Mister Got-to-go? That illustrator just did a portrait of our dd!
My grandparents honeymooned there in the 1930's, and I've stayed there several times over the years. It's a very special place for me.

Thanks for keeping in touch, guys. DW is doing really great, she's being such a trooper through all the difficulties sleeping, intense BH contractions, backaches, hip pains, etc. She had a MW appointment this afternoon and was offered a cervical check and a stretch/sweep if she was dilated enough, but she declined both. Tomorrow is our MW official due date. Yesterday was our EDD according to the ultrasound, and 8/27 was the EDD based on LMP. So of course we're hoping for baby to make her entrance today, but I don't think we're holding our breath.
We did go out last night to take pictures of the moon, just in case the babe was born last night or today and we could show her pictures of the blue moon she was born during. Now... they're just cool pictures of the moon, I guess. LOL.
And I forgot to share our photo from last weekend, 39 weeks 1 day - in the nursery, with the phenomenal lamp DW's mother made for us.

We love the book! We loved the Sylvia too. Our kids like to read the book now and then look at our photos in front of the stained glass windows and things. It had the least "hotelish" atmosphere of anywhere we stayed I think.
DP and I have just been contemplating a house swap with you and wondering what you would think when you founds yourselves in our small provincial city with not much to boast of, after coming from somewhere as cool as Vancouver!

Well folks, I believe we are in labor! DW's water likely broke last night at 8:30, but the midwife couldn't conclusively say that it had, and DW wasn't having regular contractions so we came home to sleep. Now her contractions are five minutes apart and increasing in intensity.
Funny enough, today is her EDD. One of them, at least.- nosreves

Desert- the nursery looks absolutely beautiful! I hope you and DW are loving up on your little girl!!
I posted a few days ago, but didn't go into details about myself.
I'm Ellie. Pregnant with #2 and due in March. We have a 2 year old boy named Elliott, who is the sweetest thing ever. I've been with my partner, Reagan, for almost 4 years. Reagan is MTF transsexual, and therefore can't carry our babies. We are so happy to be adding another little to our family, but I know it is bittersweet for Reagan. She is an incredible parent and partner. Everyone seems to be hoping for a girl this time around, but we won't be finding out until the birth.post #257 of 6419/2/12 at 10:40am- DesertSunsets

Everleigh Jane, born at 7:37pm on September 1st - her due date! Weighing in at a dainty 7lbs and 6oz, measuring 20.5 inches long, she has already stolen our hearts. DW did a beyond incredible job getting her here. She had a totally medication-and-intervention-free birth at the birth center, just like we wanted. It was a hard battle for her, but she did it! I couldn't possibly be any more proud of her. Birth story to follow, but for now, here's some pics!
Ever is doing amazing; she's a little slice of perfection. We are in awe of her, and so in love.
