Hi there,
I work as a teacher so I have the summer off and am with my baby full time and am exclusively breastfeeding her. But I am pumping every morning anyway in order to maintain a good morning supply. The amount pumped in the morning usually gets her through the whole day when I am at work, around 14++ oz in 20 minutes. I do not want to stop this success, and I dont mind daily pumping. this summer I give the pumped milk to my older daughter instead of wasting it too.
My problem is we are in a different country this month and I dont have the right adapter, (the electricity is much stronger here and my pump is working very hard on the very lowest setting). I am afraid that my pump will be destroyed by the hard work.
So I have reduced my 20 minute session to about 8 minutes (and am getting about 12 oz in 8 minutes, that is how strong the pump is). But I think maybe I should just stop pumping this month, I dont need the milk anyway since I am EBFing. My question is, can I get back to 14+ oz in 20 minutes if I restart pumping in August? I know it might take awhile, but is that likely? Or is it more likely that I would not get so lucky again? I am terrified of breaking my pump but also terrified of losing my supply.
Thanks!
