I also get very curious about what care providers are doing and how they do it.  Sometimes I bite my tongue because I don't want to be annoying, other times I unleash the questions, especially if they're the chatty type.  I think my optometrist thought I was thinking of becoming one myself when I had my last eye exam lol.gif  I don't know why, stuff like that just fascinates me.

I'm almost 5'9" and I have an average length torso.  I can tell this baby is sitting low, though, a bit lower than my last baby sat.  I only remember feeling like she was in my ribs for the last 3 weeks or so.  I can understand a baby belly taking up an entire torso if you're on the short side.  I remember seeing a woman once who was tall and was ALL torso, I'm kidding you not.  It was freakish-looking but I tried not to stare because I didn't want to be rude.  I thought to myself that if she were to become pregnant people probably wouldn't notice until near the end since the baby has so much room, which is both a blessing and a curse winky.gif

Linnaea,

(I keep seeing Linnea on baby girl name lists and I always think of you, BTW!)

I am a nurse and so I am a horrible patient, haha.   I am always asking questions!  I think that's important to do, though.  I really appreciate people who are active in their healthcare.

I have a friend who is tall and all torso, and when she was full term with her last pregnancy, she looked like I did at about 20 weeks, haha.  I am average height and have a regular size torso, lol, but I carry babies WAAAYY OUT.  My two kids have been 9#6 and 9#7 and it is pretty crazy how far my belly stuck out.  With that, I could never find clothes long enough to cover my belly and had terrible stretch marks, but I didn't have horrible heartburn or having to pee all the time like my other friends. So interesting how different we all are!

Yeah, I think I just like understanding how things work, and part of that is understanding how people do their work! I guess I ask lots of questions in other circumstances where I don't know as much too. I am curious, I guess. smile.gif

chapsie, that is interesting that your babies stay far out. I feel like mine is going to have to ride out, or it's going to have to be tiny! Also interesting that your tall friend didn't get as much of a bump. On the other hand, I have a tall friend who now that I think about it, her belly got kind of enormous. I think it ended up being a really big baby, though! And I don't know how quickly it got that big...

Oh, and Linnaea, I just looked back at your picture, and I can definitely tell you have more room in your torso than I do! LOL. Such is the life of being on the short side of average and having a short torso to boot. :)

Wow withlittlelungs congrats!! joy.gif. I'm sure you're feeling a mixture of emotions right now. Did you have any clues that you've been carrying two or did you get taken completely by surprise?

I'll upload another belly photo in a day or two.

Linnaea- Thank you! Everyone was telling me that it was twins, because I started showing early. But this is also my second pregnancy, so that isn't abnormal. After my 16 week appointment, I wasn't measuring bigger so I completely laid the thought to rest. This pregnancy has been more uncomfortable at times, but overall way easier than with DS so I never really had any true feelings of twins.

*grins* @ wll. With my daughter, I didn't have much of a bump, so I'm very excited about this one, but omg, if I'm only halfway, this bump is going to be huge by the time I'm done! ;)
