The baby wants poutine, chocolate milk and diet coke. i'm trying to resist but failing
Guilty food confessions, or, the baby made me eat it. :) - Page 2
I've been able to curb the beer craving with flavored (not sweetened) sparkling water. Something about a little carbonation and flavor and no sweetness really hits the spot sometimes. I got a 12 pack on Sunday and even DH said he hasn't wanted a beer since we've had the waters in the house.
I had a couple of big macs with my first pregnancy (yum!... but yuck :-p) but once my inflammatory bowel disease developed I can't eat McD food AT ALL... it's a good thing, really. I find that going with whatever I'm craving, but not going overboard, tends to work out pretty well for the most part.
This baby seems to want fruits and veggies almost any time. I'm a meat eater but not really wanting meat this time around, with the exception of the chili dog. :)
ah, so smart!
I pretty much didn't have any cravings for the longest time. Just an aversion to random things: sweets (any type- which is strange because I have the biggest sweet tooth normally) and peanut butter. Then I developed... not cravings exactly, but a strong affinity for spicy food (Thai, Indian, Mexican, you name it). My strongest craving was last week, when I made a double batch of falafel and polished it off with my husband in one sitting.
Now I'm really stuck, though, because I think my sweet tooth might be back? I really really want Oreos, specifically, which I haven't had in many years. Trying not to give in, because I've been SO GOOD at healthy eating this entire pregnancy. I don't want to start down the path of eating batches of cookies at a time. (Which... even not pregnant, I've been known to do. haha)
