Guilty food confessions, or, the baby made me eat it. :) - Page 5

my mother has been visiting us in colorado since sunday, and brought me vegan eclairs. i have never had an eclair before, but i love it in all of its chocolatey, creamy, flakey goodness. and i wish there was a vegan bakery around us, now.

other than that, i haven't wanted any food lately. this week i have to force myself to eat. nothing appeals to me even though i'm hungry.

is it time to have this baby yet?

I wish with all my body, mind and soul that there was a decent vegan bakery around here, too. The vegan cakes/doughnuts they have at our coop are always disappointing.

this is how i feel about gluten-free baking!  it's so terrible, i don't waste my time.  instead i make myself decadent treats.... probably not the wisest solution since i've gotten pretty durn good at it!

today- spaghetti squash w/ salt and butter.  i don't even want to waste my time making a tomato sauce.  mmmmm- squash.  juicing my greens b/c if i eat a salad the size of what i want/feel i need, i have really loose bowels the whole next day.  NOT FUN.  so juicing citrus and greens.

acid reflux back w/ a vengeance!  not sure how to deal w/ it.  i just don't want to eat, be hungry or hurt anymore.

I get this too, and found relief by putting a couple of blocks (like a 4" high block, higher if you need it) under the headboard feet. It tilts the bed slightly--you don't even notice it when you're in it--and helps gravity in keeping the acid where it ought to be.    All pregnancy I've been able to eat a snack before bed if I need to and still be fine since I did this. Although now that there's less distance for the acid to travel, I notice reflux just from slouching on the couch, so I don't eat anything heavy in the couple of hours before bed.
