kegels and pelvic floor
In looking for the same information the other day, I also came across this website which I think is awesome for all things alignment and pelvic floor related. http://www.alignedandwell.com/katysays/ I obviously haven't read all of it, but it seems like an excellent source of information on a whole bunch of the physical issues that pop up during pregnancy.
Kegels are pretty strange to me. When my midwife asked me if I knew what they were, I didn't... but when she explained I did it no problem. Turns out some people have never tried "squeezing down there" before? Maybe it was because I was constantly was told to "tighten your WHOLE body" during gymnastics... Has anyone else thought kegels were "normal"?
I noticed some of you are talking about squatting for the health of the pelvic floor. While squatting is generally great for the body, deep squatting can present difficulties in the last weeks of pregnancy.
