I'm in Northern California, and just curious where everyone else is from, approx.?  Sorry if this was already somewhere and I missed it!

Grew up on a hippi farm in Eastern Ont Canada, and also on the west coast in Victoria. My hubby and I settled in Vancouver for 7 years before we got married, moved to Marin County California for three years and then moved to Singapore almost 2 years ago. I find the question of where I'm from confusing. ;) I'm feeling like a NorCal girl most days.

I live in Madison, WI and love it here! Grew up in Chicago/northern suburbs and lived in Chicago for most of my adult life before moving here.

I've lived in Hawaii since 1992 and went to high school here. Met dh here and decided to stay. High school here was tough and I wanted to leave, but now I love it and plan to stay for a very long time... We'll see where our adult kids decide to settle down someday.
Before this my family was is Washington state and Oregon.

We live in the central valley in california... fresno to be exact. Been here for almost 2a years. Before that san diego where both girls were born. We have moved every 2-3 years after college and i am feeling the itch again. Dh and I both grew up in a small mountain community outside of fresno so our most recent move was to be close to the grandparents. I want to find a more family friendly, green and politically liberal city to move to..... without having to move so far away from the family.... oh, and affordable. 1 income family. Any ideas?

We live in Nova Scotia (Canada). Pretty happy here, with no plans to move anytime in the near future.

DH  is from Sweden though, so it's possible that we could move out there at some point in our lives. The nice part about this is that our kids will be born entitled to Swedish citizenship, which is pretty great since their options for post-secondary education will be vast.

Chloe's mom- Davis is an amazing town. About 3 hours north of you. It is a little University town, very progressive, liberal, slow growth, bike friendly, family orientated, centrally located.  Expensive though.  I went to school here and 20 years later...still here. :)

I used to live in Louisville and am still there quite a bit. We live on a farm about an hour south of Louisville, in a pretty rural area. We have several like minded friends that live here, and it rocks smile.gif

We live in Kansas City, MO.  We moved here from Omaha, NE 3.5 years ago.  My family is spread all over the place- my dad and in-laws are still in Omaha, my mom is in Washington DC, my sister is in Chicago, and my brother is moving from Denver, CO to Delaware at the end of the summer.  Needless to say, we travel a lot.

I was going to suggest Davis too!  I'm not to far from you.  We are in Rocklin. :)

We're in southern Indiana, about an hour northwest of Louisville, KY.  Grew up here, went away for college, etc., and moved back here with DH to homestead on my parent's property.  So we are right next door to Grandma and Grandpa and it is ideal for DD.

That is so interesting! I moved to hawaii (from Florida) in 1991.. high school WAS tough and i did end up leaving when i graduated and moved here (my dad's family was from the area) where i met my DH and ended up staying (my mom and brother moved here a few years after i did).. i can't say i don't wonder sometimes what it would have been like if i'd stuck it out and stayed in Hawaii.

I am from north central Montana in a rural farming community.  I just moved up here from another town in Montana that had more people, but I am enjoying the small community feel.  Unfortunately my husband and I have no family within a days drive of us.  He was military and got out recently and we stayed for a job.  It's hard most days not having grandparents or cousins around, but hopefully we will soon have a family of friends in our new community.

Have you every heard of Harlowton (I think?) Montana? My parents have an extra house there, and we have been thinking about heading there to hang out for awhile.  My husband might remodel the house for them.  I know it's a super small town, so you probably haven't heard of it, but thought I would ask!

I'm a native San Diegan living in Philadelphia. My husband and I aren't near any family and have so far only made a few friends, so I know having this baby with a limited support system will be tough! That, and I miss San Diego-style Mexican food, the beach, and non-humid weather like crazy! We plan on moving back to Southern California as soon as we can- so sometime after my husband finishes med school.

Of course I've heard of it!  You have to drive through it to get to Billings.  Yes it is pretty small, but very pretty in that area.  And Billings is only about an hour or less away and there is lots to do there.
