Sponsored Linkspost #2 of 67/7/12 at 5:33pm4 months is still danger zone for SIDS. I would not be comfortable with a baby that age having their face against anything while asleep. I never did master the ergo at that age- we were still on mei tais or ring slings then, but hoepfully there is a way you can finagle him into a safer position.- OtherSoul

That's what I thought. I wasn't sure if I was being too paranoid or not. I've just been trying to tilt his head slightly so that his nose pokes out at least. Can't wait until he gets a little bit bigger so the Ergo works even better...(although he's a big 4 month old at 17 pounds)

Ya know my son has ALWAYS done this if not in a cradle position. Like from day one if we were tummy to tummy. I would always gently move his head to the side and he would move it back. After a while I just gave up. Just keep an extra eye out. I'm pretty sure he can still breathe.
Just like they say "back to sleep" well DS just rolls his little tushy over on to his side or tummy. What are ya gunna do. If they are doing it, I think we have to trust their judgement if they are otherwise happy, healthy babies.
post #5 of 67/9/12 at 8:15amYeah, I used to think that too, but then I read a few first hand stories of mothers whose babies died while baby wearing and it changed my mind.
There are often some pretty easy solutions if you watch youtube videos or go to kangamama's or other babywearing groups.
post #6 of 67/10/12 at 11:21amI simple told my 6 week old a week ago,"I"m the mom you have to obey me." then I put her head where I wanted it in our Moby wrap. Now she just lets me put her nhead where I need to for her to be safe. Might work for you, give it a try.
