Concerned about having termite tent done, harmful chemicals residue kids 4 & 6 yrs old.

I am living at my parents and they think they have termites and are calling to check and hacve termite tent. We will of course be out of the home, but worried of the harmful effects those chemicals left behind can have on my kids. Any research done on this.? Any other effective alternative way to get rid of termites. Please help!

See if you can find someone in your area who uses orange oil. They inject it directly into the wood. There are no fumes and it's non-toxic to humans. You don't even have to leave the house. It is effective and when we did it, it was half the cost of tenting!
