Sister VENT

Thread Starter
So I told my sister that we're having a new baby... considering that we've been ttc for Aa year already, you'd think she'd be excited for me... here's the gist of our conversation:

me:hey, Mylo's going to be a big brother!
Sis: You're pregnant? Have you seen a doctor?
me: not yet...
Sis: oh so you're just pregnancy test pregnant then.
me: :
Sis: and you're telling people already?
me:

I was so pissed off... makes me leary of telling anyone else, you know? But we're so excited...

I am sorry!!! I know you must be frustrated!

Last month, I got 4 false positives on pregnancy tests, and finally went in for blood tests...and it turns out I wasn't pregnant...but I told several people that I thought I was having an early miscarriage...so that kind of ruined it for me telling people this time around...I have only told a couple of people, because I feel like people won't believe me.

Even when I told my mom, she said..."are you sure this time?" She congratulated me, but was very cautious about it!!!

It really stinks, though...because you want everyone to be excited about it like you are!

What a crummy response!

I think I'd be hurt and angry too, and maybe say, "no, I'm not telling PEOPLE, I'm telling YOU." Sheesh.

How thoughtless! I don't know how I would have handled it, but probably not very nicely.

I hope that it doesn't deter you from loving every moment of being pregnant and hopefully the rest of your family will be much more excited and supportive!

If not.. we will be!
