Little poppy seed is not sticking. Boo.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. It's comforting to hear many women can be quite fertile after a miscarriage (I hadn't heard that) and that you can try again right away if it's an early one.

Although sad, I'm emotionally okay to try again. Does anyone know if this counts as a period or do I have to wait a month? Will I ovulate before my next period?

Also, does anyone know the statistics of women going on to have successful pregnancies after a miscarriage? I'm 36 if that matters.

magoodoggy - So sorry that this wasnt a stick bean for you greensad.gif I don't know the exact statistics, but it definitely seems like a LOT of women on here get pregnant the first or second cycle after a m/c. I know the cycle before I got pregnant I had a very long, wierd LP and I still suspect that I actually was pregnant and lost it - very next cycle, BFP.

And typically, I believe a m/c counts as a period, since the uterus sheds its lining. You should ovulate before your next AF.

I'm sorry for your loss, magoodoggy =(

Hi everyone!

I've been reading and reading the TTC posts for months now and I'm finally poking my toe in the water. :)

I'm 30 and my husband is 35. We've been married for a little over a year and trying since January for our first kiddo. I had a really weird cycle/maybe miscarriage that kind of put us over the edge to really start TTC seriously. It's been frustrating as I'm sure everyone here knows. My brother and his wife are pregnant and keep sending out info about the baby, they just found out the sex today. I'm so excited for my brother but I'm soooooo jealous of his wife. It doesn't help that she's forbidden him to give us (his very small and close family) any unauthorized information. I'm basically walking on egg shells while talking to him, which is a huge difference from how we've talked my whole life. It feels like we're shut out and I can't talk about it to get excited with her too.

I'm right now waiting to O. I think it'll happen sometime this week. I've found temping way too stressful but I am doing Fertile Focus (ferning), OPK strips and keeping track of CM. This is my first cycle with the ferning method and consistently using the OPK strips.

Magoodoggy...   I counted my miscarriage day as day 1 of AF, I may have ovulated a little later than usual, but I did ovulate before my first real period.

So sorry Magoodoggy.

Can you move me to waiting to O please? I'm out after a short 9 day LP.

Hello ladies and welcome new folks! Whew, been so busy this week haven't had a chance to post until today. I think I probably O'd today, but we'll see once I get a few more temps. I am really getting excited about another child smile.gif

Well, I finally got my big temp spike this morning.. 5 days after I think I O'd.  (temps have been steadily creeping up since then, but this morning was a big jump).

Is anybody else here a "slow riser" when it comes to post-O temps?  Or did I O later than I think I did?

Or maybe I can attribute it to the lack of quality sleep the last 3 nights.. I've been waking up at 3:30 am and having only restless, half waking sleep until I get up in the morning (I would think this would make the temp higher??).

Any thoughts?

Good luck to you Quinalla, I hope this is the month for you!!

I know that my temps were higher when I had a poor night's sleep. FF usually put one of those open circles on my chart on those days when I checked sleep deprived. On the other hands... I had a lot of those sleepless nights last month when I got my bfp. Just sayin'  winky.gif

StudyingStones: I'm a slow rise/jagged temp rise kind of gal most of the time. It tends to throw FF for a loop smile.gif Certainly it could be at least partly attributed to your sleeplessness, or it may just be the way your temp rises. All of your fertility signs point to the earlier O date - the temp is part of the picture, but you need to take your CM etc into account as well.

Thank you Mayday and LivingSky, you ladies are wonderful!! love.gif

Hi all. I'm new here. (I was lurking last month, though, I admit.) We are TTC #2 and in the second cycle of TTC this time. I was very disapointed when I got BFN last month, because we conceived our DD on the first cycle of TTC back in 2009, and we had perfect timing DTD according to my chart. In reality I know that it's no big deal, but still, disappointed. I'm Waiting to O right now. I'm on CD8, and usually O on CD17. Looking forward to actually participating in this and not just lurking. :)

Could you also check out the thread I started in the TTC forums about my husband's moderate drinking affecting our chances? I'd love to know your thoughts, thanks.

Congratulations, pieknits!! Wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months and beyond!

Has anybody else ever experienced ewcm after O'ing?
I had a whole bunch of it today, and by my calculations I should be 6dpo. I wasn't able to take my temp this morning, as I was sick yesterday and today with a bad head cold, and woke up at least once an hour because I couldn't breathe. By the time my alarm went off, I'd been up several times, and plus the fever I have, I figured there was no point.

I've never had ewcm this late n my cycle (in fact I rarely get it at all since coming off BCP), so what's going on? I wondered if it had something to do with the mucus producing meds I took today to help this cold along? Anybody else with similar experience?

My chart is being strange this cycle; just wondering if any of you have had one like this before....Today is CD9, and for the first 5 days my temp was 97.2 and then for the past 4 days it has been 97.0. So, almost totally flat. Usually I go up and down a little every day, or at least not the same temp more than 2 days in a row. Is this weird/bad? (I would link my FF, but I can't figure out how, sorry.)

StudyingStones, I have had EWCM after O, but not that late, just usually a day or two. I like your cold medicine theory, though, that makes sense.

Thanks lenny!!

As for your temps, do you temp at the same time each morning? If not, that could explain why your temps aren't up and down (though it'd be a pretty strange coincidence to have them be the same for days in a row). The only other thing that came up when I googled it, is maybe there's something wrong with your thermometer. Sorry I can't help more!
Thanks StudyingStones! Sorry your charting has been so strange, but yeah I agree on the cold medicine affecting EWCM, I know some folks take it to improve their EWCM so sounds reasonable to me! My temps are always pretty jagged as I am a mouth breather and that tends to throw things off. Also, I haven't been using an alarm since my DD came along, so my waking times are not consistent, I may start using an alarm next cycle if we don't get pregnant this one, we'll see!

Congrats pieknits smile.gif

lenny, that does seem odd, but I don't think there is anything wrong. Did you switch from mouth breathing to nose breathing recently, I know the former for me causes my chart to be all over!
