Hi Sol! Thanks for the thread and way to go that you are soooo close! This is really exciting! I still can't believe we have no other announcements yet and am also hoping that all is great for intime0 and her baby.
Honey, I hope the instinct to prepare kicks in so you feel a little more in control.
Ithappened. I think your statement about it being 100x harder with the baby needs to be my mantra when I am feeling tired during the day. I hope that things go well for you these final days.
Lizbiz, congrats about finding out the sex! It's great that you will be keeping it a surprise for everyone, too! Must be hard, though. I am curious as to whether my new ob will send me for an u/s. It seems routine at this point to check on fluids and position. Ugh, I just feel like my former ob has been so distracted with her own issues so now I am questioning the (non)treatment I've been receiving the last month or more.
Sally, what a crazy dream. It sounds like anxiety about being able to care for the baby and juggle responsibilities.
Tizzy, that's wonderful about the weather. Must be a big relief. Unfortunately here the whole summer is pretty much a nonstop heat wave. Dh and I celebrated that it was only in the upper 70s the other night by going out to eat and planning to eat outside, but found that the restaurant doesn't open the patio at night. Which is ridiculous because who would want to eat outside during the day when it's in the upper 90s.
Hooray, Lily, for things being so organized and you feeling so prepared!
AFM, I had a nice weekend with not to much activity, but just what dh and I needed. He didn't even play his usual games of tennis with friends, instead helping me clean, shop, watch movies, walk, and we even went out to eat one night. We have our baby care and cpr classes tonight and tomorrow and then meet my new ob on Wednesday. Last night I was falling asleep reading in bed but then about an hour after sleeping my eyes opened and I had some panic about the work I need to complete before the birth. I had to get out of bed and work for a few hours (adrenaline...not tired at all anymore). So far this seems to happen weekly, so I'm really hoping it's not a nightly occurrence. I'm counting on this baby coming on time or late so I can be sure to accomplish as much as possible before he arrives.
We assembled the cosleeper last night to see how it would work with our bed, which is a little high, although we have a lower box spring we can switch with the guest bed. I still don't like the fact that all the sides aren't mesh on this thing. I mentioned this before, I believe. I'm also struggling with wanting to replace all of our blinds before he even arrives. We will definitely do that before he is close to mobile, but I'm still not happy with the affordable options out there and would rather get some natural fiber cordless blinds, but they are so expensive. Anyone else facing this issue?
