Well, we officially started working on the baby's room this weekend. It was spurred by the fact we were given a chest of drawers for my 3 year old son so we had to move his chest of drawers (which doubles as a changing table) into the guest room. Which meant there was no room for the double bed and thus, it is now a baby's room and not a guest room. The kids are so excited....they keep walking by and saying things like "I wonder if the baby will like this room?" and "Will she want blue walls or should we paint them?" and "Why can't the baby stay in my room?".
I must admit, I'm excited too because when you walk to the top of the stairs you get an automatic view of her room. And it makes me all smiley inside. To answer their questions, 1) I think she will like it, 2) yes we will paint the walls, and 3) the baby can stay in their room when they are willing to get up 5 times a night and breastfeed her. :)
Hee hee...we co-sleep in the beginning anyhow (or rather put her in a co-sleeper) so really the room is a fancy changing room for the first 6 months or so.
