up, down, up, down. I just want to meet this little baby!!!!
So first there was the 4 hours of contracting that went no where. Then there have been many many chunks of mucus plug. And yesterday, a severe thunderstorm warning for our area, and a stormy uterus for HOURS that ultimately went no where.
Ack!!
Earlier in the day my son had asked what would happen if the power went out and we had to have the baby, and I assured him there was nothing we needed power for. But at 2 am when the power really DID go out for a few hours I really wondered how I would call DH at work (graveyard shift) if I needed him. Or my midwife for that matter. Kind of scary.
Momma`s going to need a nap today... and clearly some patience too.

Yesterday one of my Facebook friends, who is several days past due, posted that she had had 8 hours of contractions the previous day but they fizzled out. Seems like several of you are having that same experience. This is the kind of thing that nobody warns you about ahead of time... I mean, y'all probably knew about it because you have other kids, but as a first-time pregnant lady I just found it astounding to learn how many times this process can stop and start. It really is a roller coaster.
