I have an unusual request! I am seeking a short-term rental to be used for a legal nurse-midwife and husband-doctor attended birth (our fifth!). We live on a farm nearly an hour from the the downtown hospitals, and feel uncomfortable birthing so far from the hospital. The closing of the Indianapolis birth center has forced us to think outside the box. Is there any homebirth supporter out there with a clean, safe apartment, guest house, or condominium who would be willing to rent to us for 2-4 weeks beginning approx. Jan. 1, 2013? We are, of course, committed to having the place cleaner than we found it, as anyone familiar with homebirth knows is simpler than one might expect! Does anyone have any ideas for us? We are not really interested in any hotel-type rental. We like to keep everything fully disclosed and above-board, so to speak.
