Is this a form of morning sickness or something else?

I had stomach surgery a few years ago for weight loss and I do have a small stomach (just a smaller stomach, no other changes to my intestines etc). I now can eat a kid meal or small adult meal, but lately I am soooo hungry. I can't seem to eat much at all. I'm not sure if it's a form of morning sickness or what. Say I'm about to eat a veggie/hummous wrap. I used to could eat the whole wrap. Now I eat a few bites, feel incredibly uncomfortably full and sit there wondering if I'm going to vomit. I'm trying to eat snacks through the day to keep my nutrition up, but I'm worried about how I can't seem to eat "normal" amounts. I still have some weight to lose (lost over 100lbs) and I'm not trying to lose weight at all. I've lost 10lbs since I got pregnant. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow.

My hunch is that it's a combination of the two. My MS this time around sounds similar. If I eat more than a few bites of food at a time, I feel very uncomfortable in the stomach and then that leads to nausea. I definitely can't eat "normal" amounts either and have also lost 10 lbs! It's slowly getting better, though-- I've gained back a little weight and can eat more at a time. If you're concerned about weightloss/nutrition maybe check with your OB or midwife to make sure you're not in the danger zone.

Thanks. That sounds just like how I feel. I fix my plate and am so hungry and ready to eat, but can only get a few bites down before I feel nauseous. I have my first official appointment with my midwife on Friday and I will talk to her about my nutrition. For now I'm eating many protein snacks through out the day and healthy snacks. I may just have to eat a few very small meals a day until this gets better.

My MS is the same way.  I'm nauseous if I'm hungry, I'm nauseous if I'm full.  And if I get really hungry before a meal I have to eat a few bites and wait about five minutes for it to settle before I can really start to eat.  Almonds and sesame sticks are my current snack of choice between meals.

My MS is the exact same. I could three bites every hour, on the hour.

My stomach is normal sized and this happens to me too. I hate it almost more than being nauseated. During weeks 6-9 I just feel so. full. all the time! It is such a gross feeling and it doesn't matter how much I eat, I still get it. Digestion slows down during pregnancy, maybe this is why we feel this way?

Yep, sounds exactly how I feel!  When I CAN eat without getting sick, it's usually only a few bites.  I've lost 11 or 12 pounds too.  I am overweight, and have lost 20-30 pounds with ALL of my pregnancies - Even the ones that I did not have much morning sickness.  Not sure if this is your  situation anymore, but just thought I'd let ya know in case.
