The 8 week healthy weight loss challenge 4.0 (started 7/30, enrolling through 8/4) - Page 3

Hi!  Thank you for doing this!  I would love to join...  but I do know that there will be one monday where I wont have computer access. (but I will have it Tuesday evening)  If that is a deal breaker, I understand cause I wouldn't want to mess it up for a team.  But, if we can work around it...  I would love to join and I would appreciate the fun and support.

Thank you either way!

tnh2007 - posting by Tuesday evening shouldn't be a problem.

I'd like to join...  I have about 40 lbs to lose, and I also use MyFitnessPal.  I'll have to double-check to see what my username is there, though.

I see some familiar faces, too...!  Hi Milk and Coffee!  wave.gifAnd Dmitrizmom, I think I was in a DDC with you (Sept 2009?).

ETA: My username on MyFitnessPal is dianaofthedunes.

Hey Diana! Lovely to see you here! I, too, am in the 40-lbs to lose club. We'll get there together. :-)

Hi Diana!!!  We were in the ddc together.  :)  Hard to believe that our babies are almost 3!

I'd really like to join also! Finally starting to feel a little more normal since my baby was born in May! I have a lot of weight to lose, this would be perfect for me.

Exercising through the weekend and hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow.

162.2 lb  (73.6 kg)

am glad i didn't put on weight since the last challenge (lost 0.8 lb in the last two weeks, better than nothing)

other than that, not so much of a good morning, didn't wake up in time to have a gym session before the kids are up

DH going away for a while so unlikely to be able to go and swim laps next week end ....

am going to walk some today, but will need to try and fit in some exercise before the end of the day (and unpack the abodominal works machine i baught last Saturday ...)

Okay, I'm in again!  *shakes head*  I must be crazy.

Today's weigh in 168.7.  My eight week goal is 154.  Probably a tad unrealistic to be hoping for a kilo a week at this stage (especially after last challenge's lousy efforts), but we shall see!

I tried to take some bloody "before" shots, but no such luck, I can't take my own photos.  I will have to ask DP and get it up later this week.

I might also try and find some "before, before" shots, as in, pre the first challenge.  There has definitely been a lot of change since then!  Might be some inspiration in that!

Anyway, plan is to try and stick to some sort of eating plan, and I'm also signed up to run a 5km in 5 weeks.  I may die.

I forced myself to sign up and pay the entry fee in the hopes that might motivate me a bit, so I'll be trying the C25K (again).  Anyone want to join me?

ETA: Hey Diana!  Good to see some more familiar faces love.gif

232  Same as the last weigh-in of the last challenge.

I'm hoping 'before' photos are not a requirement of the challenge.  If they are...I am out.  I am not ready to put a photo of myself online redface.gif.  (I'm not sure I could do that even if I were thin!)

Well, the intervening week was not as good to me.  245.0 for today's weigh-in - my focus: posting what exercise I do each day and simply writing down what I eat, even if it isn't the best.  I just bought a smart phone and downloaded the weight watchers app so hopefully this will help me.

177.4 this morning.  A loss since the end of the last challenge, but not as much as I would like.  I'd like to see 10 lbs off this challenge.  Boot camp this morning.

I'm planning on running a 5K this weekend (as long as I can find a sitter), another the first weekend in September, and a sprint triathlon the middle of September (need to find a new bike!).

Pictures are not required. thumb.gif

Today's weigh in is 137.6  I had a rough week last week and last night was my MIL's birthday, so I'm up .5 lbs from last week.  I would like to be down to 130 by the end of the challenge.  I started the week off with some 30 day shred.  I'm also keeping track of my calories on myfitnesspal.com;

Starting at 134.2; I've been sorely lacking in the motivation department. At this point I'm generally satisfied with my body, so it's been hard to push for those last few lbs. My goal for this challenge is to reach 130.

I'm 6' tall and 169.5 is this morning's starting weight. Hoping for a 5-10 pound loss this challenge. It's going to be tough to get my workouts in now that DH started working outside the house. I got spoiled being able to have him watch DS in the morning.

139 this morning. Only one pound up from the end of last challenge. That's better than I usually do. I'm starting to think about what ;my end weight might look like after almost a year of exercise (Sept 1).

Crumbs.  The battery in my scale is dead.  I will pick up a new battery today and weigh in tomorrow morning.

293.8

I have no intention of taking pictures. I'm not quite ready for that. Plus at 6ft tall and over 100lbs overweight the weight I loose in 8 weeks isn't going to be visible on my frame.

Starting at 205.2 lbs this morning. I am just now starting to work out after a c/section so I'm really just wanting to get under 200 lbs and concentrate on making exercise a habit and writing down what I eat. Good luck, everyone!!
