Ok. So dd2 is 15 months old. About 2 weeks ago she was sick with a high fever for 3 days. The first day I took her to the doc because she just had an ear infection not long before. The doc said she just had a cold and would get better. So on day 3 I took her to the doc at the hospital (same doc), because she still had a fever and was not herslef at all, so fussy and even cried differently like it hurt her to cry. Plus I just noticed the puss in and around her ear. He said she needed antibiotics because it was really red and infected in one ear. So we did that for five days but they are supposed to keep working in the body for 10 in total. But then last friday I took her again because her ear was still leaking, but she was herself again and no fever. He said this is normal and to bring her back in a week. So tomorrow I am taking her back.
Now I am scared her hearing will be damaged, and I just read if untreated it can be life threatening. I know I am going tomorrow, but has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice? I thought her eardrum ruptured, but doc seemed to think it hadn't.....
