Anyone pregnant through IVF? « Back to Group Discussions

Hi there

Just joined. I have 4 and half year old son, and am now 7 plus wks pregnant with no 2. Am hardly able to type this as we tried for over three years before trying IVF, and luckily have been successful first time. Still feels really unreal though. Am relieved more than anything to be pregnant at long last, after all of my firends have at least two kids, but am getting really fed up with the progesterone injections i have to take, and feel like a pincushion, having had so many injections for last few months. Feel soo fat and bloated, hardly able to wear any of my clothes, and am really hoping this will go down after the injections come to an end, or whether this is it and I am just fat from now onwards! Anyone sharing my experiences?

Welcome vick!!  Congrats to you!! Wow, first try!! My husband and I started the IVF route (after 4 years of pregnancies and losses) but then I lost my job. But here we are....9 weeks pregnant the ol' fashioned way.    I had terrible side effects from the progesterone suppositories that I was on during a couple of pregnancies to prevent miscarriage.
