Tips on How to Discipline a Kid?

Thread Starter

Hello all the mothers'. I am a new mom.

I would ask some guidelines on how to discipline a child without hurting physically and emotionally.

What age child are you thinking about? Do you have a baby now? Babies just need loving and mirroring and closeness to learn everything they need--the template you are giving them is all about safety and security and trust, which lays the foundation for teaching and guidance later.

Can you give some examples that you might be struggling with?

Hi,

Discipline comes from the latin word to teach. Instead of threats, rewards, punishments, consequences , being firm etc try to just deal with the issues at hand and solve problem in a collaborative way. Collaborative problem solving is not easy but the kid is learning skills along the way, problems are being solved and most important your relationship is being fostered.

check out collaborative problem solving . IMHO , it the how behind positive discipline , unconditional parenting etc

I hope this helps
