My yard got sprayed with pesticides...

My neighbor had some high powered bug spraying done, and my small yard got sprayed along with his...  I am super paranoid about pesticides as they are always linked to childhood cancer in studies.  

How long would you all wait to let kids back into the yard???

24-48 hours. Most of those studies are long term exposure.

I've read some poisons can linger until washed away by a heavy rain or thorough watering.
