Good morning, ladies.  I am having some fears. Since I got my positive I have continued to experience mild cramping on my right side where I think my ovary is. This is the same side on which I usually observe ovulation pain. I haven't had any bleeding or spotting since the day I got my positive, which quickly stopped. My HcG levels more than doubled when I had them tested. Am I just being paranoid? Please tell me yes or no. I really don't want to go to the ER for this. But this morning I had three sharp cramps there that were enough to semi-wake me. If I wait until tomorrow morning to go to the clinic, and it's bad news, I'm afraid I won't be able to teach my class and I'll have to find a sub. If I wait until today and it's bad news I can probably find a sub.

Is anyone else experiencing this kind of pain? I vaguely remember continuing to feel this way when pg with ds, but I don't remember if I felt this way early on.

Tell me what you thinkgreensad.gif

There its a cyst on you ovary that is supporting the pregnancy right now and it is not uncommon to feel it or have quick sharp pains. if this seems unusual or exceptionally painful though it is better to be safe than sorry. I have had ovary pain that I can remember with all but my first pregnancy.sorry if this sounds brief, I am on my phone and I hate doing posts from it! I hope you get some peace of mind soon, hang in there!

I have had this pain too, good to understand what it is, cuz I don't remember it with my others!

I think it's from my right side too.......

I'm getting jabbing and a burrowing feeling, some of it is strongly in my right ovary area, some is across my lower abdomen.  I assume one is ovary or implantation related and the other is round ligament pain.

but if you are concerned, you have to listen to that.  *hugs*

Agreed with Sarah, I was freaking out because I had super sharp pains and called my midwife, and it was gas. *bag head*Anyway, I do remember that I had aches and pains in my ovary with DD and with the other pregnancies, and the OB said it was a hemmorhagic corpus luteum cyst. It should start going away between 8-12 weeks when the placenta starts taking over. If your numbers are doubling well then more than likely it is not an ectopic.

Sarah and Rachel, (and everyone) thanks for the reassurance. I'm feeling much better now. So, you guys said it might be a cyst, that is supporting my pregnancy or will go away after the placenta takes over. Can you elaborate on this? Very curious and relieved.

Update: At an early ultra sound yesterday it was determined that I have a corpus luteum cysts which is the follicle where I ovulated from. The cysts feed the baby hormones until the placenta takes over. Nothing to worry about. :)

I have lots of cramping, and it's always sharp like when I would get cramps during AF. When I googled it, I read that it's most likely round ligament pain. Your uterus is growing at a rapid rate and the ligaments stretching is the cramping you feel. I also read that as long as there is no bleeding you're body is doing its normal thing. I would say stay in tune to your body though, if you feel like its more than round ligaments, or like Sarah said about it being a cyst, call your doctor.

Babytoes, you may be having just regular cramping which I think is quite normal from a growing uterus, but ligament pain does NOT feel like cramping. It is a sharp painful pain that there is no mistaking! It's like ouch! Stings for a while. I know, I have it quite often......

I had similar pain about a week ago - very sharp, stabbing pain that even hurt when I pushed down in the area. It was enough to wake me up at night but was definitely associated with moving - that made it worse. It's since gone away completely! I had a small cyst when pregnant with my DD that no one seemed worried about and said it would resolve itself.
