Boots, I ended up doing just that and it sort of worked.  The conversation didn't go as well as I hoped, but he finally said he'd get the car seats under control this week. 

Ninetales, good to hear I'm not alone!  DH is actually usually pretty good around the house (neither of us are super clean people), but he is definitely a slacker when it comes to dog care and putting his clothes away.  So frustrating!  And he's stubborn, so pushing him just does nothing.

I had to see the perinatalogist because I have an autoimmune condition (and there was a risk that the baby would develop heart block.)  I've just been going to the regular OB for over a month.  I had the follow-up ultrasound on Monday and the blood flow in the umbilical cord was normal so the placenta still seems to be doing its job.  The measurements were better, too, but she's still on the small side and she's dropped from the 40 something percentile to the 20 something percentile.  The doctors are nice and bend over backwards to assure me that everything is okay...but the subtext is everything is okay "now."

I'm sorry that you are having to consider induction.  My doctors want me to deliver by 38 weeks.  I'm seeing my OB tomorrow and I plan on grilling her about it.  I'm still hoping for 39 weeks.

If you agree to let them monitor you, they might 'let you' push a bit beyond 38w.. I agreed to an extra doc visit or two and was able to push my c-section out another week as a result..

This is basically what's happening.  I've scheduled four more BPPs (plus the usual doctor visits) and, from what I understand, so long as everything looks good, they won't insist on induction until 39w.  I'm hoping that this baby decides that it's time on her own.  She's got 2 weeks!
