Anyone heard about this? I asked the OB specifically this time which side the placenta was on, and he said it was the right side, so we shall see :) You really need to ask the tech or OB who is doing the ultrasound at the time where the placenta is, because the transducer orientation can be different depending on the tech. When I asked the OB, (it was a transabdominal), he touched the side of the probe to orient himself to which side was which on the screen. Also, it is only accurate up to 7, possibly 8 weeks because the uterus is growing and can "move" the placenta.
Anyway, thought this was pretty cool!
