Who is nursing, and how is that going?

I am still loving nursing my 2YO, though it's certainly painful now.  My sore breasts and razor blade nipples are my most obvious pregnancy symptom right now, so nursing certainly helps me feel like things are progressing in there, LOL.

Still nursing. It's not bothering me, but in the past, nursing only bugged me once my milk dried up, which hasn't happened yet. I am 8 weeks.

I'm nursing my 18 month old. It can be painful, and I'm pretty sure he's ot getting much, but we still nurse 5-6 times a day. I really don't want to stop, planned on nursing a lot longer, but I'm not sure about tandem... It all makes me sad, this pregnancy is a lot earlier than we expected.

I'm nursing my 3-year-old.  Yep.  smile.gif  It isn't painful per se, but can definitely be irritating.  She nurses as much now as she did at a year old (like 10-15x a day), which drives me BATTY.  I wish she only nursed once or twice a day.  She's a picky eater, too,  *sigh*

Nursing my 2 yr old DD. Mostly upon waking, getting to sleep and then when she wakes in the night.

No pain, but I get an annoying type feeling along with feeling depleted and nauseous afterward.

I have started limiting her nightime nursing. When she wakes at night, I try and get her back to sleep with no nursing. Usually, that doesn't work, so we agree on 5 minutes of nursing only.

Nursing my 2 1/2 year old.  No issues so far, so we'll see how it goes.

Still nursing my 2yo. It is really uncomfortable on my nipples, but other than that no issues!

my 2 y.o is latched on right now!  I want to wean, but she loves her "uk uks."  She asks "mommy, uk uk pwease?"  and I can't say no!

We night weaned a few weeks ago and I am trying to limit day feeds as well.  I knew I was pregnant because my breasts were so tender.  I think I'm pretty much dried up anyway...

I nursed this little pumpkin through two miscarriages and am so glad I had a "baby" in my arms through that heartbreak.  We have had a beautiful nursing relationship..... but I am ready to be done!  700

Nursing my 4yo and almost 15mo. The 4yo is almost weaned, the 15mo is nowhere near -thankfully I still have lots of milk and no pain!

Still nursing my 18 mo old. My nipples are sore, and I don't think he's getting much. He never used to ask to switch sides, now he nurses for a bit, says "Bye bye, side," pulls down my shirt, gets up, and asks "Nurse? Side?" for the other side. It's cute, but also indicates to me my supply's dropping quickly.

My almost 4 year old is just about weaned, but my 21 month old is still going strong. My nipples are definitely sore when she nurses, but I find that the worst of it is the antsy feeling. I so plan to continue as long as possible, because tandem nursing was great last time around both for my older child and for me.

Still nursing my 24 months old, but limited to 3 times a day (morning wake up, nap, bedtime.) I will wean her before the new baby comes, probably progressively as the milk dries up. I nursed through my last pregnancy and then tandem for a year afterwards. But I don't want to tandem again. I've .So far no pain, my I am only 4 weeks!

My almost 3 yr old is down to feeding only before bed and occasionally first thing in the morning. I literally feel drained after a feed now and suspect I'm producing little milk, if any!
Luckily I've not had sore breasts and nipples which were the strongest indication of my last pregnancy. Exhaustion and intermittent nausea are my only 'symptoms' this time around.
I'm much happier with 1-2 feeds then I was with more frequent or night-feeds but will be v sad when we stop altogether. Kudos to those of you supplying your toddlers with several feeds!

Thank you, Thumbel! smile.gif.

I am studying my tushie off right now because I take the IBLCE next week to be an IBCLC! Woohoo! Keep your fingers crossed for me, all my nursing mom friends! smile.gif.

Wow, nice to hear I am in good company. Still nursing my 2 1/2 yo. Thinking of weaning, but not seeing that it will be easy. She loves nursing and though papa is involved he has never napped or put her to bed. I know I need to work on these things, as for sure he will need to when #2 arrives. This is weighing kind of heavy on me right now. Feeling a bit overwhelmed. Papa is very present, but has some issues too with dependability and follow through, which make me want to hold back passing over more responsibility for our little one. ugh!

Yep nursing my 31 month old. :) No plans to wean at this point. Id like to nurse through the pregnancy and I bet she would to. So we'll see where it takes us. All is good so far. My nipples hurt for a few weeks but is MUCH better or nearly gone now. :) I think I got a milk boost to..

seeing this thread gets me so excited to nurse again. Nursed both of my kids ...the youngest is 6 and she weaned at 32 months. :)

Nursing my littlest, she is 11 months now. Soar nipples, but she is also teething and I always get soar nipples with teething nurslings, so it may not be all PG related. So far I am really happy with my supply, I hope it keeps up because I do not want her weaning yet. This would be the first time I might tandem nurse and while I know there are challenges i am really hoping it might alleviate the excruciating engorgement i have always experienced!

I know, I am a little sad for our little baby who still nurses a lot, she does not get to be the baby for long.

My oldest weaned when i got PG when she was 18 months old, my milk totally dried up and what was there she detested the taste off. After i miscarried I was so sad that she had weaned and she would not try it again.

I'm nursing my 16 month old around naps and bed time with no real issues yet. I work full time and she sleeps through the night about 75% of the time (a very recent change!), but I'd like to keep nursing her for as long as I am able during this pregnancy. I'm not sure about tandem nursing yet.
