What didn't you like? Or rather, what are you looking for? I was disappointed in this recipe because it was too sloppy at room temperature, so it didn't pack well. I will share in case it appeals to you:
Energy Bars:
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup pecans
1/4 cup almond or sesame meal (ground almonds)
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/4 cup almond butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp honey
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup dried cranberries or blueberries.
Toast nuts and shredded coconut until golden.
Pour into food processor and pulse until nuts are chopped and mixture is coarsely ground
In same pan or bowl, melt coconut oil and almond butter together and stir until smooth. Add vanilla, honey and salt and mix thoroughly.
Fold in nut mixture and almond meal.
Fold in dried berries.
Line an 8x4 in. loaf pan with parchment paper. Press mixture into pan. Chill for 20 minutes or until firm. Slice.
* I suspect that decreasing the coconut oil is the answer to the sloppy-at-room-temperature problem, but I haven't tried it.

If you have a favourite recipe that calls for peanut butter, could you substitute almond butter and adjust any other flavours?
We love dipping apple slices into a almond butter. It travels well in small containers, fist put in a bout 1 Tbs of almond butter then stick your slices into it. I eat this in the car all the time!
Does it have to be for camping/travel? If not, we used to eat baked apples stuffed with almond butter all the time when I was a kid. I've only made them a couple times as an adult, but I love them.
I don't know any measurements, but here it is:
mix:
almond butter
maple syrup or honey
raisins
core apples, place them in a baking dish, stuff them with the almond butter mixture and bake at 350F until the apples are very soft.
Just sub almond butter for peanut butter in any bar recipe. If you did a PB bar search on something like allrecipes, instead of "almond butter", it would open up your possibilities quite a bit!
