Placenta Encapsulation Training?

Thread Starter

Can anyone advise me where I can get training to do placenta encapsulation? (Not one of the sketchy ponzi schemes).

I am in the NJ/NY/CT area and would like to attend a workshop or something similar, but don't see anyone offering this? If there is a local doula or childbirth professional that would like to teach me, please advise!

Another question- those of you that do placentas, how much do you usually charge your clients for this?

Thanks!

If by Ponzi sketchy scheme, you are referring to PBi, I feel the need to clarify that there are no pyramids, territories, or such. If you would like more info, please send me a pm, or contact them directly. You can train, and choose one of 3 tiers of membership- training only, standard, or premium member.

I charge my clients $200. within 40 miles.

I offer online placenta encapsulation certification through my business By the Moon. I also do training, usually in the Ontario, Canada area but I would be willing to travel it there were enough people in your area interested.

I am self-taught, kind of learned along with another local doula, but a midwife here offers a free training in order to make placenta crafters more common, only catch is that you have to provide free service to so many women in your first year. But it would've been worth it if I needed the help. Other encapsulators around here are more than willing to teach others as well, so look up some local people to you and ask! :)

I charge $100 for clients of my midwifery preceptor (or doula clients of a fellow student). $125 for people outside of our practice. That includes pick up, encapsulation, capsules, the jar, instructions, and drop off.

I just did a training with Full Circle Encapsulation this past weekend and it looks like she has a training coming up in Manhattan in April and also does online or skype trainings I believe.

I know that encapsulation specialists are charging around $150 in my area, and the trainer said her packages start out around $175.

Although I just saw that this is an old thread (I haven't been here in a while, lol).
