It has cured my insomnia....so in love with it!!
I bought it in the height of my PPD, but haven't used it that many times since that has abated.
Now that I am already starting with the insomnia again I would like to start it back up.
I know what the container says, but how/when do you ladies use it? I always just threw a big spoonful into a few ounces of apple juice.
Thanks!

LadyLeah--

My midwife assured me I coudn't OD on magnesium, so you should follow the directions on the bottle.  I also received a letter, with specific instructions, on how to use it.  Bc of the laxative effect it can have, it suggests starting at 1/2 tsp and then gradually increasing until your sleep problems are solved.  I take a heaping teaspoon in 2 oz of warm water- I have the lemon raspberry flavor.

I will say, that if I am really stressed or upset about something, I still tend to have insomnia.  Maybe if I go to bed stressed, I should take more....who knows.  I don't have any problem sleeping while not pregnant, but I think b/c I wake every 2 hours due to hip pain, and then flip to the other side, when I do wake up I can't stop thinking about what is stressing me out.

I am thankful I have something that works most of the time!!

This is totally me!  It's weird because it is the top hip that aches, not the one I am lying on...So I an my myriad pillows are constantly flipping, flipping, flipping...

Any tips for that, lol?

Dannic-- YES!!  I was researching hip pain one night at 4 am and found that if your top hip hurts, then you need to place pillows between your knees and ankles.  Basically, you want your legs parallel b/c having one ankle cross the other can cause that top hip pain.

I have also found that if I get up and walk to the bathroom, it helps alleviate the pain for that period of time...  I guess it's some sort of spasm.  Of course, once I get up, I'm sometimes even more awake and then am still not sleeping...

Good luck....sleep is so hard to get now and later  :O)

Good to know!  I will try that.  I sometimes have one pillow between my knees, but sometimes my belly needs it more, lol...thanks!

My prenatal yoga teacher said to make sure the pillow between your legs is thick enough. Your knee and ankle both need to be as high as your hip or it gets strained. So I use a prego body pillow and put a regular pillow on top of the leg part.

which pillow do you have?  there is a really nice one I have always wanted but it was pricey...maybe I can double up two body pillows...

I have boppy. I like it ok. It seems to keep my back from hurting as much bc it keeps me from twisting. But I put the head part on a pillow or I'm too flat and get heartburn and then I add the leg pillow. It's ridiculous. You could just use bed pillows to recreate most of it.

U shaped sounds great. I am always having to get out of bed to turn my pile of pillows. But I don't think we have room for a u in the bed!
