On the recommendation of someone around here or on another site I frequent, I found the Aligned and Well website and have been doing pelvic floor exercises (not Kegels) and stretching to prepare for delivery. Through that website I found Spinning Babies, which has some great exercises in it which have really helped ease a lot of the cramping and round ligament pain I've had. There were times I could barely walk because of the ligament pain, and I just do an "inversion" exercise once daily, and now I actually feel normal again, and have very little cramping, to boot.
I'm also loving Spinning Babies because it has a lot of exercises you can do to help get the baby into the correct position for uncomplicated vaginal delivery. That's a big deal for me because as I'm in China, I am concerned the hospital will try to pressure/force me into a c-section (more money) when it may not be necessary. If I can do what I can to make a vaginal delivery as easy as possible, I'm sure going to!
(I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to these websites or not, but if you're interested, they are easy to find in a search engine.)
Has anyone else been doing some exercises like these? I'm looking into some other possibilities of exercises I can do to help with delivery and recovery, not to mention just ease the aches and pains of pregnancy. It would be great if I could find something to help with sciatica.
