marijuana and pregnancy

Hi ladies i really need some answers.. when i was 21 weeks pregnant i smoked 4 hits of marijuana.. im so scared that when i go tk the hospital they will test my babys first poop or the placenta and find thc... i dont want to have my baby taken. From me! I only did it that one time.. since it was such a small amount and only one time will it show up in the placenta and babys first poop if they test it? I live in illinois and im on medicaid if you know any information about illjnois laws and medcaid requirements that would be helpful too! Please i need some answers im soo scared!

If you only smoked it once at 21 weeks and haven't since and don't plan to before the birth, don't worry. Regular users often stop around 30ish weeks and report no problems. A friend of mine did it around then for her severe SPD and her son didn't test positive, either.

There's a lot of threads on this subject already that have comprehensive information within from many other posters. I'd look some of those up for more information :)

Hospitals generally don't test without consent unless you seem to be posing a threat to yourself or your kid or something, iirc, so that's even less to worry about imo.
