Moving to the West Hills area of SFV, any parents with kids that go to Welby Way Elementary?

We have 2 boys, ages 6 and 18 and are relocating from Eugene, OR to the West Hills neighborhood of San Fernando Valley. Looking for any information on the Welby Way school that will be near our house.

We aren't familiar with the area, and are also looking to get our 1st grader connected with playdates in the area...moving down there on the 1st of August. Places we should visit, or areas to stay away from at night....that kind of info would be helpful too!

I used to work in that area and people seem to love that school. Sorry that's all I know.  To me that means it probably gets high scores and is quite academic, but I really don't know. Have you checked greatschools.net for reviews?
