Penny, sorry to hear the newest development, however Kaiser WC is the best!

I have multiple friends who have delivered there naturally and have nothing but good things to say about it. Great mama/baby, checkout, easiness, etc.

I've heard really good things about Kaiser Walnut Creek too. Even though this isn't your preferred birth experience, at least your alternative is a more positive place than a lot of hospitals. Hoping you feel a sense of peace when you check it out!

It sounds like you have a great option with Kaiser WC!  And, so glad to hear that your midwife will be there for you too.  Don't give in to that nagging "failure" feeling!! (I know it and fight it too).  You are already a wonderful mama to your baby boy.  Hopefully you can check this new place out soon and get everything in order so there aren't any more unknowns and you can just focus on relaxing and feeling your best.

P.S. I met my new family doc yesterday and I mentioned to him how my BP had been fluctuating and I was concerned about it, and he had me try this biofeedback breathing device called Resperate that is an fda-approved treatment for high BP.  It basically involves an ipod type thing that directs your breathing with music, and a sensor that you place on your diaphragm.  My BP wasn't alarmingly high to begin with, but after sitting in a dark quiet room and doing the breathing for about 10 minutes he checked it again and it had dropped significantly!  I was impressed.  Of course, it costs about $300 with a prescription, but it was cool to realize how much just proper breathing and relaxing can influence BP.

I'm getting stress-tests twice a week, now, and so far the baby has been absolutely perfect in every one.  They gave me a BP cuff so I can take my BP every day at home, as well as pee sticks that show whether there's protein in my urine.  So far, other than high BP, I've been fine, so I'm staying positive.  Knowing that Kaiser WC has such good reviews certainly helps.  SO glad to have the support of the DDC!

My son was perfect with all of my non-stress tests as well. He was even perfect during labor when I ended up with HELLP (don't freak out, it's not common to have). I always said that my body failed, yet I had the strongest kid ever. He still doesn't ever get sick. Ever. So, take heart in knowing that your babe is PERFECT. I posted a bunch of stuff you can do on FB, but you can also start taking garlic capsules and/or upping the amount of raw garlic you eat. The most important thing is to not stress about it (which happens to be the hardest), because stress will just make your blood pressure continue to rise.

I've been thinking about you a lot and have been trying to send you some calming vibes.
