nursery school recommendation for my 20m twins? Bethesda area

hi folks, looking for recommendations for a "school" program for my twins, that will be 20 months come september.

basically they have been home with just me their whole lives and need some variety and other kids and folks around them more often, and i need a few hours of down time every once in while to do some self care and the best mommy i can be.

my dream place would be:

• reasonable commute to Bethesda
• a few days a week, half day
• not too religious, I am a atheist Jew, so if it has to be connected to a place of worship i would prefer jewish
• while i would hope to not have to go mommy and me style all fall, I'm open to it and would actually love a co op program that would let me get involved on a slightly less than daily basis

if you have a suggestion can you please include a link, I've had a heck of a time finding placed that folks keep mentioning to me off the cuff, many of them have similar names too

I opened this up to suggest a coop - that's what we did for preschool and I really, really loved it. Unfortunately, I don't know the Bethesda area at all. I think if I were in an area without a lot of personal recommendations I would just hit the streets and start visiting places. Another thought is to check the local colleges to see if any have a child development department with a child care center.
