Belly paint?

I told my kids earlier in the pregnancy that when my belly got big, I would let them paint it.  Now we're in our last few weeks and it's time to make good.  Have any of you done this?  If so, what kind of paints did you use and where did you get them from?

We ended up using non-toxic markers and washed it off as soon as we took pictures to document it.  We thought about acrylic paints, but I was afraid it would be too itchy when it dried.

Oh that's a great idea!  Just regular markers from the store?  I like that idea as it's back to school time and markers are on sale these days!! Yay for savings!!  Thanks for sharing. orngbiggrin.gif

My son has finger paints that I was going to let him use. It's not as dark as markers or acrylic paint, but still slippery and fun!

We have some tempura paints in big bottles.  I'll have to check to see if they are non-toxic.  Would they dry on skin, you think?  I would like to not spend any money, if I can help it.  winky.gif  I'm glad I posted...I never would have thought of these ideas!

As long as it's not super humid, I'm sure they would dry. :)

Yeah, we just used washable kids ones, they were Rose Art brand, but I would guess any would do.  DW has been wanting to do it again but we've been super busy.  It did tickle a lot, but I'm extremely ticklish.

This is what it looked like--

How cute!! Thanks for sharing the pic!!  I was looking at some markers last night, and that's what we're going to go with.  We're heading out on vacation today, but when we return we're going to let the kid "color" on my belly for baby and then take pictures to save.
