electronic toys

Do you allow your kids to have any electronic toys? It's easy enough to avoid them when they are young but what about when they are school aged? I don't have any for my dds age 3 and 6. I don't count the electric burner in their play kitchens and other little things like that. I plan on keeping all electronics out (leap frog ipad etc) as long as possible. Am interested in hearing about how how mothers keep electronics out of the house.

We didn't allow any until our kids were about 10 or 11. At that time we limited them pretty strictly. My son in particular thought this was really awful at the time. He is very electronically inclined. I do think it helped at the time. As the teenage years progress it is pretty impossible to do because of the school based need for lap top usage. I don't regret our decision making when they were younger though.
