Hmm maybe i'm not washing them hot enough?  I have the microfibre inserts.  I washed them once before use but then read somewhere that that wasn't enough so I washed them twice more. Each time I have used detergent though.  My machine only does a pre-wash at 85f and I wasn't sure if that was cold enough so I do a cold wool program which is basically a stone cold soak, then a synthetic wash at 85f, is this hot enough?  Then an extra rinse, then the inserts go in the dryer.  Last time I washed the wet bag with them but I just noticed it says machine wash cold...what do they take to be cold?  Stone cold or 85f?  It would be crazy if I have to wash the wet bag separately.  Best Bottoms website says to wash on 'warm or hot (not sanitary)', I really don't want to damage my shells!

I would wash the wet bag on hot with the diapers but then be sure to only line dry the covers (shells) and wet bag.  From what I understand it's the dryer that causes damage to things with PUL.

As for water temp, I wouldn't consider 85 degrees F hot at all.  That's pretty lukewarm.  But I don't really know what the standard is for washers as far as hot and cold water temps go.  According to the website on the link below 85 degrees falls into the cold water category.

Well when it was wash day I washed everything together, a cold soak, then a synthetic wash at 105f, then a rinse.  Then I washed the inserts again without detergent and I could so soap suds in there.  Since then no leaks joy.gif

Thanks for that link, I had been looking for something like that for quite a while!

I'm glad it worked!
