I recently ate: squares of chili dark chocolate, chicken noodle casserole with friend onions on top (eat.gif) and a green salad.

I'm craving: pumpkin chocolate chip cookies

My stomach turns at the thought of: eggs

I had a tortellini salad at a work baby shower and it was delicious, so I made my own version. Basic cheese tortellini, some cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese balls. I used a basic store bought pesto. So good, would be better if I chilled it, but no patience for that.

I am craving fresh bread.

My stomach hates leafy greens, lately. Kale in particular and I love kale.

I just ate a taco (against my better judgement as mexican has been bringing on the worst 'morning sickness' for the past week)

I have been really jonesing for saurkraut and sausage and will have some when the kids go down for the night so I can enjoy it in absolute peace and quiet! :)

Just had split pea soup with tons of nutritional yeast and crackers.

It was meh.

Over the weekend, I ate so well and even cooked twice on Monday. I've been feeling more like "normal" for 3 days and I took full advantage of it.

For the past week, I had to have kale salad a couple times of day. It was so good and I was happy to be finally back to craving it. I made one this morning for late breaskfast and I didn't really enjoy it that much. Got through it, but I think I'm back off of kale again.

Just ate: A Lara bar and glass of raw goat milk (yummmm!)

Craving: Anything wrapped up in a tortilla with spinach.

Repulsed by: Liver. Bleh! Last night, I made liver and onions with fried leeks, garlic and spinach and gagged after each of the four bites I forced down. I don't know if I will EVER try that again. DH and DS2 were happy as clams though! DS1 followed my lead and had to leave the table and lie down after courageously choking down his whole portion. hahaha

That tortellini sounds AWESOME.

For breakfast I went a little crazy making whole wheat bread french toast, caramelized bananas, and a dollop of whipped cream. Just didn't feel like an oatmeal kind of morning! OH MAN it was GOOD.

I am a bit of a salt fiend lately. Olives, yum. We don't buy them, but potato chips (if I can find any) better watch out.

Oh man, liver and onions is like a nightmare food for me right now...

I just ate prunes (homemade!) and cheese for breakfast.

I need to go shopping. innocent.gif

I had scrambled eggs with queso for breakfast and a cup of red raspberry leaf tea

Just ate: the most bodacious, rock-my-world beef pot roast and dark pot gravy with roasted potatoes, carrots, and whole carmelized onions and garlic cloves! And a slice of homemade honey-coconut-pumpkin pie and goat milk.

I can't even think about anything else, that meal was so orgasmic. Dh and I were moaning all the way through dinner. lol (I can't wait for lunch tomorrow)

writermama!!! I just took my beef roast out of the freezer.  You have inspired me!!!!  :)  I will have mine over homemade egg noodles...  And honey coconut pumpkin pie?!?!?!  Wanna share the recipe???  PLEASE!?!?!?!

Hahahaha! jodieanneanton, this is the best place to share meal ideas, isn't it? Pregnant mamas are the most fun to talk about food with (eventually). Sure, I'll post the recipe later today.

Just ate:  A delicious red bell pepper omelet with bacon and toast and a cup of hot apple cider.

Still not liking: tacos!  Gross!

Craving:  Beef roast with onions, carrots and garlic over egg noodles.  It doesn't help that I am smelling this since it is cooking for dinner as we speak... Is it 5 o'clock yet??!?!  :D

Just got my lamb order today... lamb chops for dinner tonight! Yummers!!!!!  With roasted taters and fresh corn and strawberries and cream for dessert.  Mmmmmmmmmmm.

(Will make up for the potato chips that were my lunch. bag.gif)

Spughy- at first I though you had corn, strawberries and cream for dessert.  lol.  Then I realized my mistake.

I finally had my beef stew with gravy and carrots over noodles.  Delicious.  Thank you, writermama for the inspiration!

I had potatoes and eggs and kale for breakfast. I wasn't really thrilled about the kale (when will my love of veggies come back in full force???), but felt like it was a good thing for me to eat.

Leftover chicken and dumplings and broccoli for lunch.

Strawberry ice cream and a banana for a snack.

I have really been craving red meat - like dreaming of hamburgers craving! I got my husband to take us out for burgers last night, and WOW did it hit the spot. The steak I made last week and ate over a few days was also awesome. I am not used to being quite such a regular fan of red meat (I love it, but usually no more than once every couple weeks at most). I see beef roast, beef stew, lamb chops all in the thread recently. Is this just a frequent occurrence in pregnancy - love of meat?

Still not very excited about green vegetables, and haven't touched a salad in weeks.

Chocolatechip I'm having the same issue with veggies.  Some of them are ok, but the salads aren't rocking my world the way they normally do.

Kitchen renos are causing kraft dinner tonight.

I've been craving hamburgers and meat a lot lately too, it's intense!! I read a long time ago that craving meat is a sign that you're carrying a boy but I don't know how legit that is.

I have despised kale and chard since becoming pregnant, which my DH thinks is absurd, but I feel weak at the thought of eating it steamed with butter and salt. Bleh!

Anyway, because greens are soooo essential, I have been compromising by sneaking them into anything heavily sauced/spiced by dicing them up and mixing them in, and I've been tossing baby spinach into every sandwich or wrap I eat. Spinach is so mild that I barely even notice it.

Not very hungry this past week. Not much of an appetite and I can go like 4 hours between meals without being ravenous. I have to kind of make myself eat. Weird. The previous week I couldn't wait more than an hour to eat.
