That is 100% boy. The ultrasound person said she tells people all the time if she's not sure, and she was absolutely sure with this little guy. Hello little Henry!
for those pregnant with girls - is your belly pointy? Mine is totally pointy which before with my boys, it was a perfect round shape. DH still says it's a girl. My dad says boy, but he said my 2 boys were girls so he's 100% wrong I have my U/S on 9/17 - seems like forever away, then I realize that Sept is next week....hmmm....
BOY! All Boy here, despite 4 different "mediums" telling me girl! But even my intuition said boy, and my cravings said boy. I got a lovely birthday present today when we took our peek at our little one!
*BTW - those "mediums" were all free, and 3 were friends, LOL So no worries on wasted money, as some thought when I said that!
Pogo, this pregnancy has been different in some aspects from DD, I'm retaining less water and am less puffy overall. I had to take my wedding rings off at 18 weeks with her, though I had gained almost exactly the same amount of weight, and this time they still fit just fine at 21 weeks! Sugar cravings aren't as strong, don't want milk chocolate like I did with DD and don't cry for ice cream :)
And Babylegs is having a buy one get one free sale right now!! So I did go ahead and get fun boy ones :) Bugs, dinosaurs, stars, stripey ones...and a couple of adorable ones for DD too! It'll be fall soon enough, and time to start covering her legs under her dresses!
GIRL Here! I was thinking girl (dreams mostly) even though this pregnancy has been so different from my first.
Mostly sure it's a girl anyway... She kept her legs tight together, crossed at the ankles the whole time. Tech did see 3 lines but no clear 'hamburger'. She checked profile though and didn't see any boy parts that way either.
Clarasmama - Good to know, I had a dream last night and then I had the baby it was a boy and then when we pulled "him" out of the water to dry off and such it was a girl... So I told my DH that baby legs is having a sale and he said its no reason to find out the gender... dang it! 18 more weeks....
Lol, you sound like me! DH and I both said right away we wanted to be surprised this time. And now a week from the 20 week ultrasound I'm starting to waver. I thought the same thing, I can't buy any cute gender specific baby clothes! And I have to buy some stuff because boy or girl, neither is going to fit into DD's summer newborn wardrobe.
I've had a boy and a girl and the pregnancies were pretty much identical for me... I didn't notice any difference in how I was carrying or what I could keep down foodwise. We found out pretty early on with #1 that it was a boy, and I had no real feelings one way or another with DD that she was a girl. I also don't have any feelings one way or another this time. Well, I err on the side of thinking this one is another boy, but that's just pessimism I think because I have a lot of girl clothes and DD wants a little sister soooo bad. Actually DH and DS would prefer a girl too. So of course I have to assume that it'll be a boy so I can prepare for the inevitable disappointment of them all. j/k I'm sure they won't care either way once he/she is here. (OK... DD might still be disappointed!)
I just read through all of the posts in this thread after being away for weeks... (Busy life, etc.) I can feel so much excitement from everyone. Hooray!
We had our 20-week ultrasound and got the gender-defining scan sealed in an envelope. We had both been feeling it was a girl until before the ultrasound. Now we both think it's a boy because we sort of think the ultrasound images look more masculine than feminine. Even both of our mothers agreed. We'll be happy with either one. Whatever it is, it appears healthy. We're so happy about that!
I'm curious about food aversions and cravings that any of you have experienced. A girlfriend of mine insists that if you develop an aversion to fried foods (which I have), you're predicted to have a girl. Has anyone else heard this? (She has one of each and her experiences supported the claim.) I'm also wanting to eat ice cream and brownies a lot more than usual. Potato or tortilla chips are my guilty pleasure most months but I've found the thought of them sickening since learning I was pregnant. Hmm... So exciting!
